Managing hydraulic engineering structures
The maintenance and upkeep of hydraulic engineering structures is something that follows on naturally from our work on ‘wet’ infrastructure.
Our existing expertise means that we have access to many specialists in areas including concrete and steel treatment, and electro-technical servicing. Over time, we have built up wide-ranging experience with small river channels and large complexes such as can be found in the waterways of the Dutch province of Zeeland.
Management of structures such as culverts, locks, weirs and bridges is second nature for Van den Herik. Van den Herik also has experience of dealing with scheduled monuments; we can nearly always find a way round the problem of meeting modern safety standards without using undue force on structures of historic importance. It is often the case that a lot of details need to be arranged for a small space in a short timeframe. Practice has proved that customers can rely on Van den Herik.
